Udzungwa National park is known for sightings of the rare Iringa red colobus and the sanje Crested Mangabey. You can find these two types only in this region. Rise early before dawn and venture to Mikumi from Dar es Salaam for a full day of extraordinary wildlife viewing. Plan on being on the road by 6:00am in order to arrive at the gate in time for a full day of wildlife viewing. You will first stop by the growing town of Morogoro, set beside the Uluguru Mountains, for breakfast before continuing on to Mikumi. On arrival you will enjoy a hot lunch at the lodge and continue the adventure through the late afternoon and until the early evening when you will drive back to the Lodge.
Morning after breakfast drive for Full day game viewing with packed lunch. , Mikumi plays a critical role as part of a greater ecosystem with the Selous Game Reserve. It's common to see gazelle, wildebeest, giraffe, elephant, and many other iconic African animals, including lion. Overnight at the camp or lodge
After breakfast you will drive to Udzungwa National park with packed lunch boxes which is just like 1.5hrs from Mikumi and on arrival you will enter Udzungwa National park with a ranger and you will go and hike in Udzungwa Mountains, visit the waterfalls and swim in the cool water below the waterfalls. In the late afternoon you will walk back to Udzungwa Forest Lodge for overnight.
After breakfast you will drive back to Dar es Salaam and on arrival in Dar es Salaam you will be dropped at the airport for your flight back home.
